The commissioning process consists of four phases:
This phase involves the client and the designer/craftsman.
Discussions and sketches are used to define the concept of the piece required. We will work with your ideas together with the knowledge base of the designer/craftsman to arrive at a provisional design.
At this stage we will require 10% of estimated costs if you would like to proceed.
The designer/craftsman takes the provisional draft and develops this into a precise design.
A final pre-construction meeting will review the design drawings and specifications. At this point samples can be included. When the design is agreed, actual project costs are forwarded to the client. When these have been approved, an invoice for 40% of costs will be issued.
During construction, we will keep you informed as to how the project is going. There will be opportunities to view the project at this stage.
The final 50% of project costs will be due on completion.
